Nominees for Australian Business Software Industry Association
This year, the number of ABSIA Nominees exceeds the number of vacant elected ABSIA positions. For the first time, a ballot will be held by Electronic Proxy Voting. Electronic voting will commence on Monday 25/9/2017 9:00am (AEST) and closes Monday 9/10/2017 3:00pm (AEST) but it’s strongly suggested that you vote by Friday 6th October at 5pm (AEST) in order for votes to be counted. The announcement of the ABSIA Board will be at the ABSIA Annual General Meeting.
ATO Systems Outage Report
Following the ATO System Outages in December 2016 and February 2017, ATO commissioned Pricewaterhouse Coopers to undertake an independent review, and also conducted an internal investigation in which a number of ABSIA members participated. These investigations are in addition to Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HPE) forensic investigation as to the root causes of those outages, the resulting report is here.
ABSIA's Submission to "The Review Into the Future of the Tax Profession"
The Australian Business Software Industry Association (ABSIA) prepared a Submission to "The Review Into the Future of the Tax Profession" on behalf of its members, sponsored by some key ABSIA members.
President's Statement 2016
2016 was a successful year for ABSIA. ABSIA has become recognised as a credible voice representing the software industry. We have been invited to be at the table in Reinventing the ATO Transformation Program and culture change effort within ATO, and joined the boards of SBR and ABR.
