The 2022-23 Budget outlined some significant investments in Australia's Digital Economy Strategy along with other measures that will impact DSPs. It was great to see DSPs directly mentioned in the budget papers in measures surrounding cash flow support and reducing red tape for small businesses. We’ve written a wrap up that summarises how the Budget affects DSPs.

Get to know our Director Ann White. Ann has a long standing career operating IT businesses and was introduced to the Association by her business partner David Field, who was one of our Founding Directors. Outside of DSPANZ, Ann is the Co-Founder & Director of OZEDI Holdings.

Review of SLACIP Bill 2022 

In March, we made a submission to the review of the Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure Protection) (SLACIP) Bill 2022. Overall, we are supportive of the SLACIP Bill and would like to see Government continue the industry co-design approach that has been taken so far.

    Productivity Inquiry Submission

    In our recent submission to the Productivity Inquiry, we encouraged the Government to work collaboratively with DSPs as early as possible on policies and projects affecting the business software industry.

    Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) 
    PAW 2022 is approaching, the campaign aims to raise privacy awareness and promote good privacy practices at work that build trust with your community. This year’s theme is ‘privacy as the foundation of trust’, events surrounding this theme will be taking place from 2-8 May.

    ACSC Alert to Reserve .au Domain Names 


    The ACSC have issued an alert regarding new domain changes for businesses, which presents another opportunity for cybercriminals to conduct fraudulent cyber activities. Australian businesses have until 20 September to take risk management measures.
