The presentation provided an overview of the roadmap for regulatory technology, which identifies opportunities to use technology to make it easier for businesses to comply with their obligations under modern employment awards. Key projects under the roadmap include application programming interfaces to enable DSPs to access databases run by the Fair Work Commission and Fair Work Ombudsman, as well as government and industry engagement and collaboration to support current and future initiatives.

About the Speaker

Laura Munsie is the Director of the Usability Section in the Industrial Relations Strategy Branch at the Attorney-General's Department. The Usability Section considers the experience of users of the IR system, and is responsible for advising government and overseeing implementation of the RegTech roadmap for modern awards. Prior to joining the Industrial Relations Group in 2020, Laura has held a variety of policy roles within the Australian Public Service in areas of law and justice, include integrity frameworks and financial crime.
